Carl Simon Shelley, DPhil
Prof. Shelley received his doctorate in molecular biology at the University of Oxford in England and trained as a postdoctoral fellow in medical research at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He held the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 1992 until 2008 when he was recruited to become director of oncology research at the Kabara Cancer Research Institute in Wisconsin. In February 2015 Prof. Shelley completed his contract with the Kabara Institute and returned to the Boston area to found Leukemia Therapeutics. Prof. Shelley retains the academic appointment of Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and serves on several Analysis Working Groups associated with the Cancer Genome Atlas program of the National Institutes of Health.
